Faith & Reason Teacher Workflow in LifterLMS

This page explains how to use the interactive Student and Teacher PDF Guides when working through a Faith & Reason Investigation. These steps apply whether your school uses Google Classroom, email, shared drives, or another submission method.

 1. Access the Teacher Portal

  • Log in to the Faith & Reason Teacher Portal.

  • Navigate to the appropriate Investigation page.

  • Use the buttons provided to access:

    • Concepts

    • PreLab

    • Lab

    • PostLab

    • Theological Connections

  • Download the Teacher PDF Guide if you wish to preview or reference the full Investigation offline.

2. Provide Student Guides

  • Each Investigation includes an interactive Student PDF Lab Guide.

  • Instruct students to:

    1. Download the Student PDF from the Investigation page.

    2. Save the file locally on their device using their name
      (e.g., Smith_HPD2Lab.pdf).

    3. Open the PDF in a full PDF application such as Adobe Acrobat Reader
(or another app that supports fillable fields).

Important: Many browser-based PDF viewers do not reliably save interactive fields. Students should not work directly in the browser preview. They should instead work on the downloaded PDF file.

Note: If preferred, Student Guides may also be printed and completed by hand, though interactive features are only available in the digital version.

3. Student Work During Lab

  • Students complete the Investigation by entering responses directly into the interactive PDF.

  • Built-in checkboxes help students track progress and stay organized.

  • Remind students to save their work frequently, especially during lab activities.

4. Student Submission

  • At the end of class (or homework, if allowed), students submit their completed PDF using your school’s normal method, such as:

    • Google Classroom upload

    • Email attachment

    • Shared folder or drive

5. Teacher Review

  • Open and review each student’s submitted PDF.
  • Provide feedback using:
    • Comments within the PDF, or
    • Your school’s preferred feedback method
  • Mark completion according to your own grading or record-keeping system.

6. Record Keeping

  • Store student PDFs according to your school’s policies.

  • PDFs may be downloaded, archived, or reused as documentation of student work.

  • Grades and completion are managed outside the Faith & Reason Portal.
